Born in Guadalajara, Mexico in 1980, immigrated to Toronto, Canada in 2001. Julian Calleros became interested in art, particularly in painting and mixed media, at the age of thirteen. In Mexico and in Toronto he has had the opportunity to work with artists, that has both taught and challenged his practice, this is reflective in the final product of the artwork being of high quality and technique.

During attendance to The Banff Centre for the Arts on fall 2006 Julian was part of "The future of idea Art" This was an art residency based on Canadian Conceptual Art and its influence on the world. On May 2007 he left to Mojacar, Spain. Attending a self-directed art residency at "Fundacion Valparaiso", working on fantastic-realistic still life composition.

Recently he has received grants from Toronto Arts Council and Ontario Arts Council for the creation of his next Body of work: The Jesus Project.
